A distinguish feature of these whales is a very long tooth. The length of the tooth can reach 7-10 feet. This long tooth projects from the upper jaw of the animal. They don’t use this tooth for hunting; perhaps narwhals use it for protection.

Narwhals are Arctic whales. They can be found only in Arctic waters. Grown up males can reach about 16 feet in length and weigh about 1.8 tons. Females’ average weight is 1 ton. A newborn narwhal is about 5 feet long and weighs 175 pounds. Any exotic breeder can show you the photo of the foundation stock to prove that he/she doesn't practise hunting to get exotic animals.
